وَقَوْلِ اللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: فَذَرْهُمْ وَمَا يَفْتَرُوْنَ ) (الأنعام: ۱۱۲
And the saying of Allah, the Almighty: "So leave them in their falsehood." (Qur’an 6:112)
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ (رضي الله عنه) عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ: «لَا فَرْعَ وَلَا عَتِيْرَةَ قَالَ: وَالْفَرْعُ أَوَّلُ نِتَاجٍ كَانَ يُنْتَجُ لَهُمْ ، كَانُوا يَذْبَحُوْنَهُ لِطَوَاغِيْتِهِمْ، وَالْعَتِيْرَةُ فِي رَجَبَ. مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ.
Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:
"There is no Far’ (firstborn animal sacrifice) or Atirah (sacrifice in Rajab)." He explained, "The Far’ was the first offspring of their livestock, which they used to sacrifice for their idols, and the Atirah was a sacrifice in Rajab." [Agreed upon]
وَعَنْ عَلِيَّ (رضي الله عنه) قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ : «نَسَخَتِ الزَّكَاةُ كُلَّ صَدَقَةٍ فِي الْقُرْآنِ، وَنَسَخَ صَوْمُ رَمَضَانَ كُلَّ صَوْمٍ، وَنَسَخَ غُسْلُ الْجَنَابَةِ كُلَّ غُسْلٍ، وَنَسَخَتْ الْأَضَاحِي كُلَّ ذَبْح». رَوَاهُ الدَّارَ قُطْنِيُّ وَالْبَيْهَقِيُّ ، وَقَالَ أَبُوْ دَاوُدَ: وَالْعَتِيْرَةُ مَنْسُوْخَةٌ. ۱
Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
"Zakah has replaced all forms of charity mentioned in the Qur’an, fasting Ramadan has replaced all other fasts, the ghusl for janabah (major impurity) has replaced all other ghusls, and the Udhiyah (Eid al-Adha sacrifice) has replaced all other sacrifices." [Narrated by Al-Daraqutni and Al-Bayhaqi]
Abu Dawud said: "The Atirah is abrogated." 1

1 The statement: "The Atirah is abrogated." Ali al-Qari said: "The general prohibition was to avoid resembling the idolaters." I say: Therefore, it is not recommended either.
۱ قوله : منسوخة وقال علي القاري : ثم وقع النهي العام للتشبه بأهل الأصنام انتهى. قلت: فلا تستحب أيضا.
