Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘We are the last (in time) but the first (in rank) on the Day of Resurrection, though they were given the Scripture before us and we were given it after them. This is the day (Friday) that was prescribed for them, but they differed about it. So Allah guided us to it, and the people follow us: the Jews tomorrow and the Christians the day after.’" [Agreed upon]

In a narration by Muslim: ‘We are the last (in time) but the first (in rank) on the Day of Resurrection, and we will be the first to enter Paradise.’

In another narration by Muslim from Abu Hurairah and Hudhaifah: ‘We are the last of the people of this world but the first on the Day of Resurrection, and it has been decreed for us before all creation.’

Abu Lubabah ibn Abd al-Mundhir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated:

"The Prophet (ﷺ) said: ‘Friday is the master of days and the greatest in the sight of Allah. It is greater than the Day of Adha and the Day of Fitr. On it, five things occurred: Allah created Adam, sent him down to Earth, accepted his repentance, and there is an hour when no servant asks Allah for something except that He grants it (if it is not sinful), and the Hour will occur on Friday. No angel, sky, earth, wind, mountain, or sea but that it fears Friday.’" [Narrated by Ibn Majah]

Ahmad narrated from Sa’d ibn Mu’adh that a man from the Ansar came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and asked: ‘Tell us about Friday and its virtues.’ He mentioned the same five things.

Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: "I went to Mount Tur and met Ka’b al-Ahbar. We sat together, and he told me about the Torah, while I told him about the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). Among what I told him was: ‘The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “The best day on which the sun rises is Friday. On it, Adam was created; on it, he was forgiven; on it, he died; and on it, the Hour will occur. No creature but that it is in fear of Friday from dawn until sunrise, except for jinn and humans. On it, there is an hour when no Muslim servant asks Allah for something while praying except that He grants it.” Ka’b said: ‘That is one day every year.’ I said: ‘No, it is every Friday.’ Ka’b read the Torah and said: ‘The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) spoke the truth.’"

Abu Hurairah said: ‘I met Abdullah ibn Salam and told him about my meeting with Ka’b and what I had said about Friday. I told him: Ka’b said it is one day every year. Abdullah ibn Salam said: Ka’b lied. I said: Then Ka’b read the Torah and said: It is every Friday. Abdullah ibn Salam said: Ka’b spoke the truth. Then he said: I know which hour it is. I said: Tell me, and do not withhold it. He said: It is the last hour of Friday. I said: How can it be the last hour when the Prophet (ﷺ) said it is when a Muslim is praying? He said: Did the Prophet (ﷺ) not say: “Whoever sits waiting for the prayer is in prayer until he prays”? I said: Yes. He said: That is it.’" [Narrated by Malik, Abu Dawud, Al-Tirmidhi, and Al-Nasa’I while Ahmad narrated up to: ‘Ka’b spoke the truth]
