Sahl ibn Sa'd Al-Sa'idi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that he was asked about what the pulpit was made of. He said, "It was made from the wood of the forest, crafted by so-and-so, the freed slave of so-and-so, for the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). When it was made and placed, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) stood on it, faced the Qiblah, and said Takbir. The people stood behind him, and he recited, bowed, and the people bowed behind him. Then he raised his head, stepped back, and prostrated on the ground. Then he returned to the pulpit, recited, bowed, raised his head, stepped back, and prostrated on the ground. This is the wording of Bukhari. In the agreed-upon version, it is similar, and at the end, it says: When he finished, he turned to the people and said, 'O people, I only did this so that you may follow me and learn my prayer.'"

English

Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) prayed in his chamber, and the people followed him from behind the chamber. [Narrated by Abu Dawud]

In Al-Mirqah: The chamber referred to is, as they said, the place he took for himself in the mosque made of palm leaves when he intended to seclude himself, not Aisha's chamber, otherwise she would have said, "my chamber."

English

Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to pray at night in his chamber, and the wall of the chamber was short. People saw the figure of the Prophet (ﷺ), so some of them stood up and prayed following his prayer. [Narrated by Bukhari]

In Ad-Durr Al-Mukhtar: "A barrier does not prevent following the Imam in prayer as long as the Imam's condition is not ambiguous, and the place is not different."
