Then he said, ‘O Allah, forgive me and have mercy on me.’ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ‘You have hurried, O worshipper! When you pray and then sit, first praise Allah as He deserves, then send blessings upon me, and then supplicate.’"

English

Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Whoever wishes to receive the fullest measure (of blessings) when sending blessings upon us, the members of the household, let him say:

'O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad, the unlettered Prophet, and upon his wives, the mothers of the believers, and his descendants and his household, as You sent blessings upon Ibrahim. Indeed, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious.’" [Narrated by Abu Dawood]

And in "As-Sa‘ayah," it is mentioned: "The confirmed Sunnah is to send blessings after Tashahhud, without specifying certain words. This is indicated by the statements of most of our jurists. However, they differed regarding which wording is preferred. In ‘Ghuniyat Al-Mustamli,’ the preferred wording of the blessings is as mentioned in ‘Al-Kifayah,’ ‘Al-Qunyah,’ and the explanation of ‘Al-Quduri’:

Muhammad (peace be upon him) was asked about it, and he said: ‘Say: O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad, as You sent blessings upon Ibrahim and upon the family of Ibrahim. Indeed, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious. O Allah, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as You blessed Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim. Indeed, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious.’

And this is in agreement with what is found in the two authentic books (Bukhari and Muslim) from the Hadith of Ka‘b.

And the author of "An-Nakhira" reported from the book "Al-Hujaj ‘Ala Ahl Al-Madinah" by ‘Isa bin A‘ban: That Muhammad (peace be upon him) was asked about the way of sending blessings, and he answered with what has been mentioned before.
