This book discusses the conditions and rulings pertaining to those who perform the funeral prayer.

And the statement of Allah, the Exalted and Glorious: 'When the soul reaches the collarbone, and it is said, “Who can cure him now?” And he thinks that it is the time of departure. And the legs are joined together. On that day, they will be driven to your Lord.' -

And the guidance of Allah, the Most High, is: (Surah Al-Qiyamah, Part 29, Juz 1, Verses 26-30) (Listen, O people!) When the soul departs from the body, it clings to the throat like a vine, and the limbs of the dying person are pulled apart. It is a moment when the soul is about to depart, and there is no one to save it (alas, there is no one to help at this moment). The certainty sets in that the time of separation has arrived, and the soul, in great distress, clings to one leg with the other. On that day, both will be presented before their Lord (consider how you wish to stand before your Lord? Will you go joyfully as an obedient servant, or will you go regretfully as a disobedient and remorseful captive, humiliated and disgraced, before your Lord? Decide wisely, so that your fate may be determined accordingly.)
