Abu Wahb reported: "I asked Abdullah ibn Al-Mubarak about the prayer involving glorification (Salat al-Tasbih). He said: 'One begins with Takbir (saying Allahu Akbar), then recites:

(Glory be to You, O Allah, and praise; blessed is Your Name, exalted is Your Majesty, and there is no god but You).

Then one repeats fifteen times:

(Glory be to Allah, all praise is to Allah, there is no god but Allah, and Allah is the Greatest).

After this, one seeks refuge [with Allah], recites Surah Al-Fatihah, and another Surah. Then one repeats the same glorifications ten times.

In each rak’ah, this is repeated: ten times in ruku (bowing), ten times upon rising from ruku, ten times in each prostration (sujood), and ten times while sitting between the two prostrations. This is performed over four rak’ahs, totaling seventy-five glorifications per rak’ah (beginning with fifteen before recitation and ten in each subsequent position).'

In a narration by Abu Dawud, it states: 'If you were the most sinful person on earth, you would be forgiven by this prayer.' In Ibn Majah’s narration, the Prophet (ﷺ) said: 'Even if your sins were as numerous as the grains of desert sand, they would be forgiven.' A companion asked: 'O Messenger of Allah, what if one cannot perform it daily?' He replied: 'Perform it weekly. If unable, then monthly. If still unable, then once a year.'" [Narrated by Al-Tirmidhi, Abu Dawud, and Ibn Majah]

Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: "I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: 'The first deed for which a servant will be held accountable on the Day of Resurrection is their prayer. If it is sound, they will succeed; if defective, they will fail. If any deficiency is found in their obligatory prayers, the Lord, Exalted and Majestic, will say: "See if My servant has any voluntary prayers to complete what is lacking in the obligatory ones." Then the rest of their deeds will be judged accordingly.' In another narration: 'Zakat will be judged in the same manner, followed by all other deeds.'" [Narrated by Abu Dawud and Ahmad]

Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Allah has not granted a servant anything better than two rak’ahs of prayer. Righteousness is showered upon a servant’s head as long as they remain in prayer. Indeed, the closest means by which a servant draws near to Allah is through what emanates from Him (the Qur’an).'" Abu Nasr Al-Rawi, the narrator, explained: "This refers to the Qur’an." [Narrated by Ahmad and Al-Tirmidhi]
