97. Sūrat Al-Qadr · The Power

Indeed, ˹It is˺ We ˹Who˺ sent this ˹Quran˺ down on the Night of Glory.

Lo! We revealed it on the Night of Predestination.

BEHOLD, from on high have We bestowed this [divine writ] on Night of Destiny.

Undoubtedly, We sent it down in the blessed and valuable night.

Surely, We sent down this (Holy Qur’an) during the Night of Destiny

And what will make you realize what the Night of Glory is?

Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Night of Power is!

And what could make thee conceive what it is, that Night of Destiny?

And what you know, what the blessed night is?

And what have you made out what the Night of Destiny is

The Night of Glory is better than a thousand months.

The Night of Power is better than a thousand months.

The Night of Destiny is better than a thousand months:

The blessed and valuable Night is better than a thousand months.

The Night of Destiny is better than a thousand months (in merit, blessings, reward and recompense)

That night the angels and the ˹holy˺ spirit descend, by the permission of their Lord, for every ˹decreed˺ matter.

The angels and the Spirit descend therein, by the permission of their Lord, with all decrees.

in hosts descend in it the angels, bearing divine inspiration by their Sustainer's leave; from all [evil] that may happen

Therein descend angels and Jibril (the Spirit) by the command of their Lord for every affair.

The angels and the Spirit of Peace (Gabriel) descend by their Lord’s command during this (night) with decrees concerning all matters (of blessings and bounties)

It is all peace until the break of dawn.

(The night is) Peace until the rising of the dawn.

does it make secure, until the rise of dawn.

That is all peace till the rising of the dawn.

This (night) is (absolute) peace and security till daybreak
